Realistixxx, a company that provides set-top boxes and computer software to turn Adult films into a 3D experience, has launched their Web site at Realistixxx.com.
Far more intriguing than the site itself, however, is the technology being offered through products like 3D stereoscopic glasses, the Virtual FX 3D Television Converter, 3D Plus Software, and picture and video conversion services for Websites.
While that may all sound like something from the realm of Buck Rogers or Buckaroo Banzai, simply put, the technology is used to turn two-dimensional images into 3D, whether they be pictures or movies, on the Web or on a TV.
“By utilizing our products and services, existing web sites can virtually double the amount of content that they offer for their members, as well as deliver to its members a product that has never been seen in the adult industry,” Realistixxx president of sales and operations Ross Nithsdale told AVNOnline.com.
The Virtual FX 3D TV Converter, which looks like a cable box, allows DVDs, or anything coming through the TV for that matter, to be viewed in 3D.
“The Virtual FX allows the user to experience Adult movies in an extraordinary new way. The unit produces an amazing ‘like you are there’ kind of feeling and enhanced clarity. Adult movies will never be viewed the same way,” Nithsdale said.
The same type of technology is available for computers via the company’s 3D Plus Software, which converts DVDs viewed on a computer to 3D on the fly.
