LOS ANGELES—Sometimes a great script idea is just sitting there in plain view, but it needs the right chemistry (and not just ChatGPT) to conjure it up from the ether. That’s the case with Let Me In, Pure Taboo’s sexy psychological thriller starring Reagan Foxx and Shay Sights as twisted toxic twins—a perfect plot device made possible by the actresses’ uncanny resemblance.
The pairing is so obvious; Sights was a seasoned performer when Foxx first came on the scene in 2016, after which the two angular, bosomy raven-haired MILFs became each other’s porn doppelgangers. The striking similarities were sometimes confusing for casting agents and audiences—but perfect for Let Me In.
Directed by Adult Time’s Bree Mills in 2024, Foxx and Sights had initially pitched the idea for a twin-based project. After collaborating with Mills and adding Tommy Pistol, Max Fills, and Hailey Rose to portray the rest of the family, the production was born, like the offspring of twin mothers.
“What has stood out the most about ‘Let Me In’ was the response from the fans,” Foxx told AVN. “Yes, industry critics who took the time to watch it all said that we had something very special on our hands, but it was the fans who took the time to tell me that we created an adult film that made them want to sit and watch the whole story, not just the sex.
“That made the difference to me as an actor and performer. I think every adult film actor dreams of hearing this from fans. Wasn’t it Burt Reynolds who spoke the line in Boogie Nights, that ‘every great director lives for this?’ Well, that's how the fans and industry critics made me feel,” she added.
Naturally, Sights’ comments to AVN twinned Foxx’s observation, adding, “Obviously, yeah, social media now really connects everybody. So we had a really good [response]. It's funny—the fans really, really liked it, and we got more than probably any project I've ever done. It was the first one we did, so we didn't have a huge budget.
“You know, like with every labor of love, you always wish you'd done things differently and you learn and you grow, you know what I mean? Yeah. And we weren't really sure, like we were like, ‘God, that was really, really cool to be a part of,’ but we didn't know how it would be received. And there was so many fans that were like, ‘that's like one of the best movies I've ever seen,’ you know? Which was really cool.”
The first installment’s set up was a simple, but diabolical, scenario: Foxx’s wholesome, happy step-family is interrupted one afternoon by a knock at the door. When Foxx answers, Sights stares back with a maniacal grin that gives demonic vibes and sends Foxx screaming in hysterics. As her freaked out husband (Pistol) tries to figure out what’s happening, her stepson (Fills) and his girlfriend (Rose) are only trying to help when they ask Sights to come inside. Then, of course, it’s too late to prevent evil from coming home to roost. What ensues is mayhem, as Foxx becomes possessed and the family is seduced.
In the new episode, Foxx, Sights, and Mills return for Let Me In, Too, with a cast that includes Sophia Locke, Lexi Luna and Tyler Cruise. The story continues, with the sexual tension heightened by a suspenseful plot.
Both Sights and Foxx teased what viewers can expect from the much-anticipated sequel.
“We got a lot of creative control in this one, and it was cool because Reagan and I sat down and really thought about what we thought would work—I think that was awesome,” Sights said, adding that there is a spectacular outdoor sex scene.
She enjoys playing the darker role, and added, “I feel like if there's going to be like a vampire or an evil entity, it's like, it's always me. I think it's just because of the way I look, my facial structure and that kind of thing. So, [Foxx] is very much like earth mother—loving, nurturing—not that I'm not, but she’s just more so like that, motherly love and everything.”
But this time around, Foxx will show a different side in a turn that takes the audience even further down the rabbit hole. She advised viewers to watch the first episode, as the second part picks up right where the last one left off.
“What fans are going to see is a madness that has gotten even larger in the sequel,” Foxx hinted. Once her character is revealed, she said, “you’ll see the evil parts of who I become, and who Shay is, as we spread our sexy powers out even further. We discover that there are others in the world who have the same devious, yet unknown, understanding of themselves and the havoc that we can wreak upon the unsuspecting people, or group of people who are unfortunate enough to cross their path.
“That is the most I can give away,” she said.
