LOS ANGELES—Adult star Raylene has launched her own production company, Raylene Live, and secured distribution through Exile Distribution. The Raylene Diaries: Unfiltered, the company’s first release, is set to debut Aug. 24.
Drawing on her experience forming the company, The Raylene Diaries: Unfiltered, tracks Raylene in reality-style footage shot by veteran director Beth Ann Raphael, her partner in the production company. The movie also marks the star’s directorial debut.
“This movie is based on my real-life experiences—almost like BTS style,” Raylene told AVN. “I think it’s fun, honest and more interesting than just a typical adult movie scenario. I wanted to give my fans a more intimate look into my life.”
Raylene appears throughout the movie, including performing in three girl/girl scenarios with Ann Marie Rios, Sarah Vandella and Samantha Ryan. She’s also in a B/G/G threeway with Rios and real-life busband Ethan Hawk. The movie also features Georgia Jones, Michelle Lay, Zoe Britton and Francesca Le.
It’s been quite a journey for Raylene in adult throughout her time in the business that dates back to 1996 when she became a Vivid Girl. In 2001 she began a successful career in real estate, and returned to performing in 2009 for Vivid and others. She now performs exclusively for her new company, Raylene.com and her Streamate live-cam site in which she performs almost daily girl/girl shows.
“Starting this company is a newer idea of mine, but I always wanted to direct,” she said. “I talked about it with [Vivid co-founder] Steve Hirsch when I was under contract, but circumstances changed, then I left the business, and now, it was just time.”
The decision to go with Exile for distribution was an easy one. Raylene has a longstanding relationship with sales head Howard Levine, dating back to their time with Vivid.
“Howard is great and I know he will give my movies the attention they deserve,” Raylene said. “We’ve known each other for a while and I think it’ll be a good relationship.”
Future plans for Raylene Live call for her to draw on her experience in world of real estate. Raylene’s Raunchy Realtors is up next from the company.
