Prostitutes Arrested After Online Solicitation

Police recently arrested four women in conjunction with an ongoing investigation into prostitution ads that were posted on the internet classifieds site, Craigslist.

"The women were arrested over the last three weeks at hotels near Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshal Airport," area police said. The women were charged with illegally soliciting sex.

The USA Today recently reported that “Anne Arundal County authorities began investigating after reading ads posted on Craigslist.org that offered sex services for $140 to $300.”

Police said that the women “allegedly arranged several weeks’ worth of appointments in advance, then flew into a city to meet with clients. They then traveled to their next destination.”

Police said that the women were from California, Illinois and the Washington D.C. areas.
