A proposed film aims to take a lighthearted look at the adult film industry in Munich during the 1970s, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Oscar-nominated German director Marc Rothemund is heading the project, dubbed Pornorama, for Munich-based Constantin Films which produced his 2000 teen comedy, Ants in My Pants. The movie is scheduled to begin shooting in the fall.
Constantin Films head, Bernd Eichinger, will produce and co-write the script with Rothemund who is known for directing Sophie Scholl - The Final Days, a drama about the final days of a Nazi resistance fighter. The film won two awards at the Berlin Film Festival along with an award at the German Film Awards.
Sophie Scholl also earned Rothemund an Oscar nomination for best foreign language film last year.
