Private Media Group has signed a deal with Tokyo-based e-Station Co. Ltd. to broadcast movies on its satellite channels.
Publicly-held Private would receive revenues of more than $500,000 during the first year under the licensing agreement, the company said.
“When we met with Private, we were impressed wit the professionalism of their team and the high-quality of the content they provide,” said Hideo Shimazaki, e-Station’s chairman and CEO.
“We immediately realized the value this would bring to our three channel in Japan and we would like to express our sincere thanks to Private for quickly delivering specialized content to our market.”
Bo Rosenkvist, Private Asia’s CEO, said the new deal gives the company exposure on Japan’s premier adult channels, giving Private a boost in its expansion effort in Asia.
Meanwhile, Private plans to soon begin shooting Geisha, its second title in the region.
