Private compiled their award-winning Private Gladiator trilogy for the first time, threw in some extra bonus footage and packaged it all together for a limited edition DVD pack that contains four discs with a total of more than six hours of footage.

“We’re releasing this to accommodate market demand. People love the DVD packs, our previous DVD pack releases have been incredibly popular,” Bob Johnson, COO of Private USA, told AVN.com “Having the entire Gladiator set in one package is a great incentive for people who have heard of the trilogy but haven’t purchased it yet to do so”
Fans of the trilogy will be happy to learn that Private is considering expanding the series.
“I wouldn’t say that this is the end – there may be a surprise but I don’t want to give that away,” Johnson said.
Private Gladiator: Collector’s Limited Edition, a specially-packaged DVD set that contained just the first volume of the series and an extra’s disc, won a slew of honors, most recently winning the Best Overall DVD Presentation for Adult Product award at the VSDA Home Entertainment Expo in July. Other honors the limited edition won include being named FHM’s “Greatest Porn DVD Ever,” receiving nods for Best Packaging as well as Best Film at the Brussels Erotic Festival, and four AVN Awards including one for Best DVD Menus and Best DVD Packaging.
Not that the only thing going for the title was the packaging – the Private Gladiator series picked up a number of performance based awards and was nominated for even more.
While the complete trilogy lacks the special packaging the came with the collector’s limited edition, it will still stand out on shelves in since it is twice the thickness of normal DVD sets to accommodate the extra discs.
Released August 28th, the set has a suggested retail price of $59.99.
