Private Media Group and the English-based adult broadcaster Portland Enterprises are launching two pay television channels in England.
The channels, Private One and Private Two, will be accessible for 15 hours per day over the BSkyB Digital Satellite platform to about 8.4 million viewers.
“This revolutionary joining of two of the most powerful forces in adult media will certainly threaten weaker performing channels,” said Berth Milton, Private’s chief executive.
“We are pleased to work with Portland Enterprises and take adavante of their 10-plus years of experience in broadcasting.”
Private One and Private Two may be found on Sky channels 952 and 953.
The company publishes Private, an international hardcore sex magazine, and it also acquires and distributes adult videos through cable and satellite programming, as well as through the Internet.
In January, the Private’s movie library contained 900 titles. It also offers subscription-based porn through the Internet, broadband video on demand site, along with live sex chat, adult personals, DVD rental service, and an online shop. Its reach extends from Europe to North America and on into Latin America, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, and Asia.
