PrimeInternet Licenses CM4all Web Creator

Web host company PrimeInternet has licensed CM4all WebsiteCreator suite, two months after announcing they had struck a deal with the German-based company to deploy the program to all its hosting customers.

CM will customize the CM4all program for PrimeInternet and implement the software in their data centers, PrimeInternet said, announcing the licensing. This will enable PrimeInternet customers to build and maintain professional websites including e-commerce functionality, the company added.

"CM-AL will be sending this out to their European agents and East Coast channels as well," says PrimeInternet network administrator Ray Vanpraag, announcing the licensing. "In short, this software will run on our central servers and allow the user to create and maintain dynamic websites with databases, flash, etc., all online and without any special skills.

"It pulls from over 500 templates and is fully integrated with our control panels for hosting," he continued. "Best of all this new offering to 100 percent free for Prime Internet hosting customers."

Others who have marketed the scalable XML-based CM4all suite include T-Online, 1&1, Terra Lycos, and several others in the U.S., Canada, Europe, South America, and Japan.
