Porn Star Poker is the name of a mainstream television series being developed by multiple AVN Award winning adult director Nic Cramer and photographer Scott St. James that will showcase adult performers and personalities playing poker.
Each episode will see five players compete, all either an Adult performer or an Adult personality, against each other in No-Limit Texas Hold ‘Em,a popular form of poker.
St. James explains that an “Adult personality” is someone in the business that is not in front of the camera, suggesting that porn directors or an agent like Jim South would qualify.
And while the series will feature porn stars, there’s no nudity involved. “We realized that porn stars add titillation just by being involved in something,” St. James told AVN.com. “This is a show that we want to cross over to mainstream, something we see as the future of the Adult industry. Performers can talk about sex, or mention that they worked with a certain person if a name comes up during conversation, but we’re not producing this to show clips of movies.”
A tournament featuring the winners of each episode will then determine the winner of the series. The winner will win a trophy as well as a donation to a charity of their choice.
Show creators Cramer and St. James are hoping to land a mainstream celebrity and a poker pro to host the show. Other regular spots on the show – including openings intended for adult stars – are also being cast.
A pilot episode is already scheduled for production in December.
St. James says Katie Morgan and Brittany Skye have already committed to being in the show, and others have already expressed an interest.
Porn Star Poker is slated to run for six to twelve episodes, and St. James invites members of the Adult industry interested in appearing on the show to register at PornStarPoker.tv, or by phone: 1-87-PRIVATE-0 (1-877-748-2830).
