Police Nab Strip Club Robbers

Police arrested two men and are looking for two others in connection with an early morning robbery at a South Fort Worth strip club Monday.

Police Lt. Dean Sullivan told the Fort Worth Telegram Monday that four men entered the Harlem Nights club at 9317 S. Freeway at about 1:45 a.m. and began firing their guns into the ceiling before demanding money.

No one was injured during the shooting, though one dancer hurt her leg when she fell to the ground to take cover.

Sullivan said the robbers then emptied the cash register and took money from a safe before leaving in a tan GM Suburban with about $7,500. A policeman from nearby Everman spotted the Suburban and tried to stop the vehicle for a traffic violation, but a chase ensued before the men abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.

Police blocked off the neighborhood and set up a perimeter before they captured two of the four suspects. They were identified as Derrick Isaac, 23, and Maurice Shannon, 25. Both face aggravated robbery charges.

Sullivan said detectives are examining leads on the other two suspects.
