Former Adam & Eve Creative Director Lindsay Michael has launched Pointer Advertising, a new firm dedicated to adult industry marketing, design and technological services.
"Adult entertainment is a business just like any other," Michael told AVN.com. "We have to remain focused and stay true to the brand. We are here to take away the mystery and provide solid, comprehensive solutions for branding and marketing needs of adult companies."
Michael noted several pitfalls in creating brand recognition. "A lot of times people will try to change their logo over and over," she said. "Companies will try and create a new logo for every e-mail they send out. It takes seven times for someone to recognize a logo…whenever you change it, you have to start [that recognition] all over again."
Michael left her position at Adam & Eve in 2005. Since launching her new company online in October 2006, she has managed accounts for Fallen Angel, director Candida Royalle, KSEX Radio, starlets Sunny Leone, Nina Mercedez and Carmen Luvana, and others.
Michael has enlisted Vittoria Mari as the company's programming director and Gina Pennington as traffic director. The three ladies hope to become a one-stop shop for adult industry marketing, public relations and programming.
