Playboy to Produce 'Women of Poker' Series

Playboy has joined forces with the Players Network to produce a series, dubbed “Playboy’s Women of Poker.”

The six-part series will be produced by Playboy’s Alta Loma Entertainment and will feature beautiful women competing to become members of Playboy’s poker team and all the perks that accompany it, including a potential magazine pictorial.

“The Playboy brand is hotter than ever… and poker has never been hotter. The opportunity to combine Playboy and poker is a win/win situation for both companies,” said Michael Berk, president of production for the Players Network and series creator.

The show will focus on women who participate in five regional qualifying Texas Hold’em tournaments held around the country. They will then also do a test photo shoot. Ultimately, 30 finalists or six models from each of the five preliminary tournaments will win a trip to Las Vegas to compete in the televised finals.

Six women who accumulate the most points for playing poker and for their modeling skills will win a spot on Playboy’s poker team. Those on the team will attend parties at the Playboy mansion, potentially appear in Playboy magazine or on Playboy.com as well as make promotional appearances and play in charity tournaments.

Those interested in participating in the series may register at www.playersnetwork.com.
