VP – Online Customer Acquisition and Retention (Subs and VoD)
Under the direction of the senior vice president of marketing, Playboy Entertainment Group, this position is responsible for the strategy and operations to drive consistent membership growth across Playboy's online subscription and VoD business. This position includes full revenue and P/L responsibility, and is responsible for developing and optimizing customer acquisition and retention strategies while managing ROI. This position will be charged with (1) optimizing ROI on organic traffic, internal marketing efforts and cross-platform assets and (2) developing and executing on a plan for reaching consumers outside of the Playboy universe while effectively managing ROI on such efforts.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and update marketing plan and program strategy with a focus on driving success of customer acquisition and retention via Playboy's type-in traffic, partnerships, email and subscriber retention/reacquisition.
- Develop quarterly acquisition, promotions and offer testing plans, refining overall direct response and relationship marketing approach, including premium tests and pricing test programs to achieve maximum value from all customer interactions, especially outbound communications programs.
- Develop outbound communications and promotions for daily, weekly and monthly distribution to opt-in email recipients and other participants.
- Develop creative concepts to create the most effective copy, messages and voice for marketing pages and for outbound communications.
- Partner with creative team to create editorial content for new products and for improving retention in existing products.
- Quantitative analysis of all customer acquisition programs focusing on the building of a strong foundation of institutional knowledge of direct response techniques and historical success.
- Develop strategies and follow through on initiatives relating to (1) search engine optimization, marketing and external search vendor management, (2) affiliate and partnership marketing, (3) using loyalty programs to increase lifetime value of customers and (4) using CRM management to optimize acquisition, retention and reacquisition campaigns.
- Identify product and industry trends to develop strategy around new products and tactics.
Qualifications:
Requires a minimum of seven years of online customer acquisition and retention experience. Prior Adult industry experience is helpful, but not required. Experience with subscription, loyalty and direct marketing is essential. Must have prior experience developing and presenting direct response marketing programs that identify core test elements and alignment with prioritized business objectives. Experience developing SEO plans, media buying plans, Google Adwords, and prior experience working with leading search portal brands for maximum value creation. Strong knowledge of acquisition methods, CRM techniques and online marketing tactics and metrics, preferably in the subscription arena required. Some travel required.
VP of Partnership and Distribution
Under the direction of the senior vice president of marketing, Playboy Entertainment Group, this position is responsible for the strategy and operations associated with the management of Playboy's Home Video licensees and b2b distribution partnerships.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Secure and service b2b partnerships including finding distribution partners, negotiating contracts, managing finished product replication and timely distribution.
- With the Programming Group, help to define and manage the yearly production schedule of Playboy and Spice Home Videos.
- Account manage and service current b2b distribution relationship (Columbia House, Infinity and Playboy.com).
- Negotiate replication, storage and fulfillment contract for Playboy and Spice produced products.
- Manage license relationship with licensees of Playboy and Spice DVD businesses.
- Automate ordering, fulfillment and tracking process for b2b purchased product.
- Identify product and industry trends to develop strategy around new products and tactics.
- Supervise a staff of two.
Qualifications:
Requires a minimum of seven years of home video production, distribution and b2b business development experience. Must have strong project management skills. Some travel required. Prior Adult industry experience is helpful but not required.
