Playboy recently launched a new Website to promote the soon-to-be-released home video game Playboy: The Mansion (available on PlayStaion 2, Xbox, and others). At www.playhef.com, fans can check out a photo gallery, view previews, access downloads, read press clips, post in a forum and receive gaming support.
Among the site’s features are the Video Vault, which offers the game's official trailer, IGN's E3 interview with Hef himself, and Gamespy's E3 show floor interview with two beautiful Bunnies.
According to company press, Playboy: The Mansion "blends state-of-the-art social simulation with traditional role-playing and empire-building gameplay." As Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, players build the Playboy Mansion and magazine into dynamic cultural icons and a powerful brand. The player can mingle with Playmates and celebrities as they live the Playboy lifestyle. As players become more famous within the game, they gain exclusive access to the Playboy Archives, including footage of the actual Playboy Mansion.
The game offers a fully 3D environment with a dynamic zoom-able camera that allows the player to cruise around the estate. Players can visit the inside of the mansion, the pool, the grotto, the game house, and more. Much like in real life, in these areas they will meet celebrities, actors, athletes, authors, business executives, comedians, fashion designers, models, musicians, and others.
Playboy: The Mansion is due for a fall 2004 release from ARUSH Entertainment
