Pineapple Support, Stripchat Launch LGBTQ Support Group

LOS ANGELES—Pineapple Support, the adult industry's leading mental health nonprofit, on Tuesday launched a new free, online support group dedicated to LGBTQ+ individuals within the adult industry. Sponsored by Stripchat, the six-week "LGBTQ and Proud" support group will be led by Pineapple Support therapist Rachael Fumiatti and will begin on Thursday, June 5th, at 1 p.m. PST / 4 p.m. EST / 10 p.m. CET.

"This six-week group offers an accepting and supportive space for LGBTQ+ individuals to discuss their experiences and build connections with one another," says therapist Rachael Fumiatti. "All are welcome, and every voice matters. Together we will create a community where people feel seen, heard, and supported."

Founded in 2018 by British performer Leya Tanit following a series of tragic losses in the adult industry, Pineapple Support is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has connected more than 19,000 adult industry professionals with free and low-cost therapy, counseling, and emotional support.

“Pride Month is a time to make sure our LGBTQ+ community feels especially seen, heard and supported," says Tanit. "We are so grateful to Stripchat for making this group possible and for sharing in that commitment. LGBTQ+ industry professionals can face a unique set of challenges, and having a dedicated, affirming space to connect and be heard is so important. Pride is a time to celebrate identity and community, and we want every LGBTQ+ person in our industry to know that they are seen, valued, and never alone.”

The LGBTQ and Proud support group will begin on Thursday and run for six weeks, with each session lasting 60 minutes. For more information and to reserve a spot, visit pineapplesupport.org/support-groups.
