LOS ANGELES—Pineapple Support, an adult industry mental health nonprofit organization, is launching a free, online support group for partners and family members of adult industry professionals, sponsored by Clips4Sale.
The six-week support group, “Behind the Scenes,” will be led by Pineapple Support therapist Dr. Monique Martinez-Quiros and will begin on Wednesday, May 7, at 1 p.m. ET.
“Behind the Scenes is a support group designed specifically for partners and family members of adult industry professionals,” Martinez-Quiros said. “In a safe and understanding environment, participants can explore the unique challenges they face, share experiences, and build tools to strengthen relationships, foster open communication, and find mutual support within this community.”
Pineapple Support was founded by British performer Leya Tanit in 2018, after a string of losses in the adult industry from depression and other mental illnesses. The organization, a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in the United States, has connected over 15,000 adult performers to mental health services, including free and low-cost therapy, counseling and emotional support.
“Support for the adult industry must also extend to those who stand beside performers; their partners, spouses, parents and friends,” said Tanit. “These individuals often navigate their own questions, worries and emotional burdens in silence. With this group, we’re creating space for honest conversations and meaningful connection, helping loved ones feel seen, heard and supported.”
The “Behind the Scenes” support group begins on Wednesday, May 7, at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CET. Sessions will run for approximately one hour and take place online weekly for six weeks.
