Pineapple Launches Support Group to Navigate Life Transitions

LOS ANGELES—Pineapple Support, the adult industry’s leading mental health nonprofit, will host a free, online support group focused on navigating transitional and liminal spaces. The six-week support group, “Sweet Surrender: Embracing Transitions,” will be led by Pineapple Support therapist Dr. L.A. McCrae and will begin at 4 p.m. EST on Tuesday, November 4.

“This group is a brave space where we’ll embrace the unknown together and explore the beautiful chaos that transitions can offer,” says McCrae. “Through bibliotherapy, somatic resonance, dream integration, and sand play, we’ll support one another through the uncertainties of change and the sacred liminality that often arises during this time of year. Participants can expect a grounded, interactive experience rooted in curiosity, connection, and care.”

Pineapple Support was founded by British performer Leya Tanit in 2018, after a string of losses in the adult industry from depression and other mental illnesses. The organization, a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in the United States, has connected over 16,000 adult performers to mental health services, including free and low-cost therapy, counseling, and emotional support.

“Transitions can be some of the most difficult and yet most transformative moments in our lives,” says Tanit. “This support group offers performers the tools and companionship they need to navigate those moments with grace and intention. Dr. McCrae brings a unique, deeply healing approach that we are proud to make available to our community.”

The six-week “Sweet Surrender: Embracing Transitions” support group begins on on Nov. 4 at 1 p.m. PST / 4 p.m. EST / 10 p.m. CET. Sessions will last 60-90 minutes and will take place online every Tuesday at the same time.
