Cellular companies are under pressure to police the services they carry because of the anticipated global boom in mobile porn, according to an Associated Press report from the annual 3GSM World Congress, a four-day gathering of the mobile industry on the French Riviera.
Under voluntary British rules that were coordinated with groups including the National Family and Parenting Institute, wireless networks block adult services to new handsets by default and lift the restrictions only after receiving proof that the user in 18 or over Similar initiatives are the discussion stage in the U.S. and France, the report said.
