LAS VEGAS—Phil Varone, the musician-turned-porn performer who opened The V Agency earlier this year, announced he has closed the adult agency, effective last Tuesday, and will focus on music, writing, comedy and acting.
"I have always offered my talent a very high level of personalized service, but returning to music and my other projects going on have made this very hard,” Varone said. “Music is my soul and I feel I need to get back to what really makes me tick. I enjoyed my time in adult as an agent and filmmaker, and met a lot of amazing people, but it’s time to move on.”
Varone worked to set The V Agency apart from other adult talent agencies by offering brand and career management, along with mainstream bookings.

Varone, the former drummer for Saigon Kick and Skid Row, made a name for himself in adult as the award-wining director of the Swingers series of DVD for Vivid. He also created a sex toy line through CalExotics.
For now, Varone plans to work on ghost-writing a biography of another celebrity, as well as writing new music with a new “supergroup” and finishing filming of a reality TV show.
