AVN Hall of Fame actor-producer Peter North will go independent as a manufacturer-distributor, North Star, beginning November 1, according to his partner, Richie Zaye. North Star will distribute four lines previously handled by New Sensations, as well as everything produced by Zaye Entertainment.
North and Zaye have been best friends for many years and in fact set up North Star together in 1999. Zaye, also previously distributed by New Sensations, announced its independence last week.
North’s series are North Pole, his long-running signature series, Deep Throat This!, the brand new Maximum Thrust, and Anal Addicts, which is jointly produced with Zaye. Zaye’s product is Trannies Gone Solo, Tranny Hunter, Butt Lovers, Rectal Rooter, Pussy Footin’. “Everything will be streeted by North Star,” said Zaye.
The official reaction from New Sensations is: “We have enjoyed working with Peter North, and the door is always open for him to distribute through New Sensations at any time in the future.”
A company representative who asked not to be named expanded on this. “We care very deeply about Peter North, he’s a big part of our catalogue. The fact is that Richie Zaye wanted to expand his company, there was no room [to do so] at New Sensations, so he decided to set up on his own. It was natural that Peter, who is Zaye’s best friend, decided to give Richie a shot at distributing his stuff.
“Peter North has always been cool and straight with us. If he wants to go try self-distributing with Richie Zaye, more power to him. If he finds it’s more difficult than he thought, the door’s always open. He put out a high-selling, quality product, and it was great working with him,“ the representative said.
