Penthouse, Coquette Make Lingerie Deal

There’ll be a Penthouse Lingerie by Coquette line coming soon under an exclusive, five-year deal Penthouse Media Group has signed with Canadian-based Coquette International, the latter believed to be one of the world’s top intimate apparel businesses.

The new deal was announced at the International Lingerie Show at the Las Vegas Rio Hotel & Casino April 13, where Penthouse Pet of the Year Martina Warren and Pet of the Year runner-up Natalia Cruze were signing for fans. The Penthouse line will include bras, panties, thongs, teddies, camisoles, bustiers, corsets, and other intimate apparel, designed jointly by Coquette and Penthouse designers, the two companies said.

"We wanted a partner in intimate apparel with international acumen and a long-standing reputation for quality,” said Penthouse Media chief executive Marc Bell, suggesting Penthouse has sought to bring forth its own lingerie line for some time. “Coquette presents an ideal mix of capabilities for us."

Coquette owner and vice president for marketing Macus Horea also sounded pleased with the deal. “The Penthouse brand is a perfect fit for Coquette,” Horea said when the deal was announced. “Both are sexy, fun, and allow consumers to playfully live out their fantasies.”

The Penthouse Lingerie by Coquette line will be distributed in the United States, Canada, and Australia.

Coquette now has six intimate apparel catalogues from romantic to risqué, with recent additions including the Masquerade and Darque collections, the former involving character-style costumery and the latter tailored to the goth fetish.

Penthouse isn’t the first adult entertainment company with whom Coquette has forged an working relationship. In February, Coquette struck a sponsorship deal with Digital Playground in which Coquette would be credited in each Digital Playground production and endorsement that includes Coquette lingerie.

Digital Playground stars Jesse Jane, Teagan Presley, and Devon also agreed to wear Coquette lingerie in coming endorsements and future productions, under the terms of that deal.
