SexToyClub is looking for a new, "quality company" to handle online payment processing, now that PayPal has closed its account.
"Unfortunately, PayPal has become an anti-human sexuality company," a SexToyClub.com worker said in a note made available to AVNOnline.com.
SexToyClub.com for now continues accepting credit card, check, money order, or wire transfers by way of Citizens' Bank and Convergence, Inc.
PayPal users have until May 12 to process payments for "intangible" adult products like online photographs and streaming video, while sales of "tangible" adult products can be processed until June 12, according to a late April report.
PayPal said recently their decision to ban payment processing for all adult material - and not just the "Mature Audience" section of parent eBay - came down to "a simple business decision. As PayPal continued to grow and review internal operations, there were higher financial and other risks associated with these kinds of payments," as eBay spokesman Kevin Pursglove put it
PayPal's exemption for eBay "Mature Audiences" materials ended in April, when RCI Internet Services - the cyberspace subsidiary of Rick's Cabaret - withdrew an anti-trust suit it slapped against eBay after PayPal's adult ban was extended to all adult material. RCI attorney Max Tribble said that amounted to backing off a bid to help eBay monopolize online adult material auctions.
