Pachard Hangs Tough in Cancer Bout

AVN Hall of Fame director Henri Pachard dropped by the AVN offices on Friday, offering an update on how his cancer treatment is progressing.

Pachard began chemotherapy in January after undergoing cancer surgery in November.

"They tell me that my hair will grow back, but if it doesn’t, I don’t care as long as the cancer cells stay dead," he said.

Pachard’s wife, Deloras, moved her entire digital video edit system back into their home, so she’s been able to take excellent care of him.

"I’m feeling good enough today to do some shooting for Rob Spallone Monday,” Pachard continued, “and if next Thursday’s 'chemo-fix' doesn’t knock me on my ass, I’ll be shooting again on Friday."

“What’s important to know about cancer,” Pachard added, “is that these guys in the game are really up to speed with all the new kinds of treatments available. Don’t get discouraged over a little fucking hair falling out of your head.

“Next month radiation starts, and that’s going to take a lot out of me for about six or seven weeks, but I’m expecting to come way out on top of this by summertime, and I’ll only be 67. Plus I’ll be a middleweight!”

Pachard announced in January he has returned to writing scripts.
