After spending nearly 10 years at Anabolic Video, Ron E is striking out on his own with the creation of Original Entertainment.
“I thought it was about time for me to get out there with my own company,” said the 28-year-old Cal State Northridge grad.
“Now, I just want to go out there and make the kinds of movies I’ve been wanting to make – hardcore gonzo with an edge.”
The company’s first release, scheduled for later this month is Sore Throat, featuring Nadia Styles, Roxy Jezel, Ariana Jollee, Barbara Summer, Renee Richards, Alicia Angel and Christy Lee.
Ron E. said the video will feature its share of hardcore scenes made all the edgier by director Tony T’s inventive direction.
“He’s gotta be the most creative gonzo director I’ve ever seen,” Ron E said.
“He’s in your face and gets the hottest performances out these girls.”
Having joined Anabolic while he was a college student, Ron E learned the business from his then mentor Gregg Alan, president of Diabolic Video, sister company of Anabolic. Serving as his assistant, Ron E learned what it takes to hire quality people, quality performers and put together movies that the public is willing to buy.
By working in the company warehouse and in sales, Ron E also learned the sales and distribution side of the business.
“After working there all those years, I knew I wanted to go out on my own,” he said.
After saving up some money and borrowing the rest, Ron E took the plunge, rented an office, bought some equipment and hired Tony T for his first title.
But even as the video was edited and prepared for release, Ron E. was already at work putting together his next project Gang Bangers’ Ball, featuring Barbara Summer and Jasmine Byrne.
“We’re all about the girls,” he said.
“Guys are just headless, thrusting torsos who just bang away on a girl.”
Meanwhile, the company is preparing production on a new interracial title and a teen gonzo title. Ron E is already making plans for his sister Su’s directorial debut for Original Entertainment.
