Ohio Adult Retailer Pleads Guilty to Counts of Pandering Obscenity

A Pik-Kwik store in Ohio pled guilty to two counts of pandering obscenity yesterday and was fined $1,000 dollars for each charge. In addition, the store agreed not to sell any obscene materials in the future.

The charges were originally filed against the owner, but the plea bargain dismissed charges against Busemeyer and the corporation became the defendant.

According to a report on ABC-affiliate WCPO, Butler County's prosecutor said the guilty plea will make it easier to prosecute other adult retailers selling the same or similar videos.

Jeffery Busemeyer, the store’s owner, was indicted on four felony charges of pandering obscenity last March, after a grand jury found four videos purchased from the store were obscene.

Busemeyer could have served up to a year in jail and fined $2,500 for each charge if convicted.
