VAN NUYS, Calif. - Odyssey Group Video has licensed Shane and Friends Vol. 1 on a "semi-exclusive basis" to leading VOD sites AEBN, Gamelink and Hotmovies.
“While our plan was to keep this series exclusive to SunshineDVD.com, we decided that our biggest outside supporters in VOD deserved to have this title as well," said OGV's Bob East. "These three companies have consistently supported us on their sites and have proven to be true partners, so it only made sense to give them this title first."
Shane and Friends was nominated for Best Gonzo Release at the 2008 AVN Awards. Shane promoted the title at this year's AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, marking her first AEE appearance since 2004.
“We were really shocked when we received the nomination,” said East. “I mean, Shane had not made a new movie in four years and OGV had not had a new release in five, so to get a nod first time out of the gate was really cool!”
Shot on location at Lake Mead, Shane and Friends was released in 2007 as a two-part DVD series. Volume 2 is currently available on-demand at sunshinedvd.com and is planned for VOD release on the above-listed sites in March.
Shane and Friends Vol. 3 is currently in the planning stages.
