- If you think you'd feel sexy in nipple jewelry but you're not exactly in the mood to punch a hole therein to do it, Sheer Delight has a solution for you: completely adjustable, non-piercing Nipple Huggers.
Debuting at Fantasy Fest in October 2002, Nipple Huggers sold over three hundred units in three hours, according to Sheer Delight. They came to the adult industry at the most recent Internext and attracted attention from PlayboyTV's show Night Calls. As if that weren't enough, Sheer Delight added, such adult stars as Brooke Hunter, Kara Styler, Mari Possa, Bella Donna, Reina Leone, Juli Ashton, and Tiffany Granath are said to own pieces of the jewelry.
Sheer Delight's initial styles included Daisy, Lacy, and Tri Lacy, handmade pieces from jewelry wire in shapes which encircle the nipple, mold to the breast shape, and give the wearer control of the tension on the nipple, the company said.
These jewelry pieces have received enthusiastic enough response to prompt Sheer Delight to get working on new designs in the nipple jewelry line, including Sliders, now offered in two unique sets of necklace and matching nipple Sliders with an arrowhead through a ring or a heart through a heart.
These come in various beaded colors and designs, with or without charms, and include adjustable rubber rings with the ring-coil used to adjust nipple tension. The beaded chain dangles just below a crop top, Sheer Delight said.
"I love them," said Possa, of Showtime's Family Business series. "They are so sexy, I highly recommend them."
Designer Claudia Croft said she was inspired by another cable television series, the HBO hit Sex and the City, especially the episode in which the characters put plastic or rubber nipples into their bras to attract attention, something she said was silly. "Once you got the guy home and take off your bra, the nipples fall out," she said.
"I created a more sensual alternative," Croft continued. "My jewelry is totally adjustable to the size of the nipple, the curvature of the breast as well as desired tension, and best of all non-piercing. We've sold thousands of them by word of mouth alone. Our customers are our best sales people. Several say they will not be caught without them and are collecting one of each style and in every color. They literally make women horny. The longer the nipples are hard, the more aroused you get."
