Jon Dough told AVN.com that NJ Films would now be distributing all his catalog and new release titles.
LFP had been distributing Jon Dough Productions titles through VCA’s Excessive Entertainment imprint. LFP had released six of Dough’s JDP/Excessive titles so far, including Black Boned 1 & 2, Jon Dough Presents: My First POV, Jon Dough Presents: My Second POV: Turning Japanese, Cream-Filled Ass Pies and Young and Thirsty.
Dough for the past six months had been working with NJ Films, which is co-owned by John Knowles and Nelson Blanton, to distribute his Doughboy Video line. The Doughboy Video line is primarily blowjob titles, such as Hungarian Cocksuckers, which has just been released. The JDP line is his gonzo features.
Dough said the NJ Films guys are “straight shooters.”
“You get your detailed monthly reports and all these things you need to keep conducting business,” he said.
The 18-year industry veteran performer/producer/director now plans to release one JDP title and one Doughboy Video each month through NJ Films.
Dough said his arrangement with LFP just didn’t work out.
“I have lot of respect for Larry Flynt and those guys,” he said. “I’ve been watching their stuff and looking at their magazines for a long time. They’re a huge company. I have nothing bad to say about them, but things seem to get bogged down in the quagmire there.”
LFP spokesman Jeff Mullen told AVN.com, "I would have liked to have seen Jon Dough create more material for VCA Pictures as his in-your-face style of shooting worked nicely. However, we understand that some directors have decided to leave over the past few months, but there is virtually a waiting list of new directors who want to come on board. What [VP of marketing] Peter Reynolds is doing with VCA Pictures and the edgy Excessive Entertainment label is fantastic. It's an exciting time to be associated with LFP Video and I am confident that this is going to be a tremendous period in the history of VCA Pictures and Hustler Video."
