Actors Johnny Keyes, Alicia Rio, and Jeff Stryker, directors Jim Holiday and Wash West, and industry veteran Eddie Wedelstedt lead the nominees for Free Speech Coalition's eighteenth annual Night of the Stars fundraiser July 17, at the Hollywood Highlands in Hollywood's Kodak Theatre complex.
Keyes and Rio were nominated for Lifetime Achievement Awards as actor and actress, respectively, as were Stryker as gay actor, Holiday as director and West as gay director, while Wedelstedt—the Goalie Entertainment mastermind who is also known for his charity for needy children—is an Industry Founder Award nominee.
Veteran adult entertainment and First Amendment attorney Paul Cambria, the founder of Adult Freedom Foundation, is nominated for Advocate of the Year, with Topco Sales chief Scott Tucker nominated for the Joel Warner "Good Guy" Award, Playboy Entertainment Group nominated for the Positive Image Award, and Mike Moran of LD Management for the Hal Freeman "Freedom Isn't Free" Award.
In addition, Split Infinity's Chris Jester will receive a $10,000 reward to recognize his effort in launching an investigation that led to a successful child pornography prosecution.
With Adam Glasser as master of ceremonies the evening kicks off at 7:30 p.m., with catering by Vert, a Wolfgang Puck brasserie, followed by the first annual After-Party, beginning at 10 p.m., hosted by Glasser at the Hollywood Highlands.
FSC said there is still time to buy a Night of the Stars program advertisement to congratulate a favorite nominee, become a sponsor of the show, or buy tickets for the evening, which FSC hopes will raise $200,000 to help pay for federal lobbying and national public relations.
