Crush Video is a start-up with not only ambition but plenty of ideas. It started off with two gonzo lines but plans to make a bigger splash with a bigger-budget feature, Scenario, debuting next month.
Crush’s flagship line is Vacuum Hoes, a POV blowjob series … with a twist. Each volume incorporates a different theme: There’s the All-Natural Busty Edition (Vol. 3), the Teen Edition (Vol. 4), and Vol. 5, just released, is the MILF Edition. Vol, 6 will be the 2 on 1 Edition.
“People have responded well to the theme editions of Vacuum Hoes,” said sales manager Julius Nelson.
Crush has started a second line called Jiggle, featuring “thick thug girls.” The first volume was interracial, with black women and white men, but Vol. 2, coming out in two weeks’ time, will be all black.
Crush bills itself as being located in Los Angeles, but in fact it’s that rare animal, a bi-coastal adult company. The sales staff, headed by Nelson, is headquartered in New York, with all production, duplication and warehousing in L.A.
“We’re in touch with both the East Coast distributors and the West Coast producers,” Nelson said.
The company got started in January with the first volume of Vacuum Hoes. It’s been shipping one title a month ever since.
Crush’s primary director, who has helmed all their releases, is a gentleman who goes by the name Dingaling.
His biggest production to date is Scenario, which shipped Wednesday. According to Nelson it consists of “five mini-stories or scenarios, shot in widescreen on various locations, with a trance-house soundtrack,” and stars Monica Sweetheart, Dani Woodward, Lucy Lee, Hailey Paige and Faith.
“We sought them out directly,” Nelson said. “They’re all really beautiful girls.” He was particularly impressed with Faith. “She has a unique look, with those bright red lips.”
He said Crush wants to do more Scenarios, or movies like it, adding, “We’ve taken time on all these movies. We’re never going to reach the point where we’re turning out factory porn. We put a lot of personal effort into making our product.
“There’s room in the market for a middle ground between a gonzo and a feature,” Nelson added. “which is what Scenario is. Artistic and well shot, with attractive women, with interesting sets and surroundings, and good sex, but without a corny story line.”
