Netbilling Expands Merchant Functionality

Payment processing and merchant services company Netbilling.com has released a Direct Mode interface, which includes support for subscription management and automated recurring billing. The latest version is Direct Mode Version 3.1.

Version 3.1 allows merchants to have complete control over the subscription process by integrating with an easy to use API that can be accessed with all major programming languages.

In order to process transactions through Direct Mode, a merchant sends data through an SSL encrypted connection from the merchant’s software, which allows for a completely customizable transaction process with real-time credit card and ACH processing.

“With the release of Direct Mode 3.1, merchants can utilize automated recurring billing and membership management systems,” says Ben Tischler, senior technical supervisor for Netbilling. “This allows for Netbilling to manage a member’s rebilling while still offering the flexibility of on-demand transactions, which is useful for up-sells and membership upgrades without having to resubmit a customer’s credit card data.”

Previous versions of Direct Mode supported membership functionality without PCI storage capabilities. This version combines both, with more additional features. Direct mode 3.1 also offers high-speed batched transaction processing, swipe terminal support, Level II processing, remote batch settlements, and on-demand repeat billing.
