Nectar Entertanment Signs Marty Zion to Contract

After the release of just one title, Nectar Entertainment has decided to sign Marty Zion to an exclusive deal that calls for the director with the mainstream background to turn in ten titles over an undefined period of time.

Zion was excited about the level of commitment that Nectar had shown with the contract.

“I look to this as an opportunity to really take this to the next level. They’ve given me some opportunities and budgets that are going to be really fun to work with,” Zion told AVN.com.  “I laid out a game plan of what I wanted to do and it fit inside their mandate of really creating high-end product. It was exciting to hear the commitment of both sides to making something new and different. They believe in me to deliver this and to keep pushing the envelope of what the artistic end of this business can be.”

Zion will attempt to shoot one title a month, but plans to be flexible in order to get the cast and crew he wants to work with for each title.

Austin Greenberg, a partner in Nectar, was just as pleased to have Zion under contract as the director was to have one. “Given Marty’s background, obviously, and his desire to fit the mantra, which we preach, of wanting to do a high-end offering that has artistic value to it, we felt that he would be the perfect director have in place at the helm of our ship,” Greenberg said.

Greenberg noted that strong sales of Shades of Red, and Nectar’s anticipation of a repeat for Mystified, Zion’s first title under contract, convinced them to sign the proverbial dotted line.
