Adult performer Nautica Thorn told AVN.com Thursday she is launching her own production company and will begin shooting in July.
She said she is currently fielding various offers for distribution of Nautica Thorn Productions, which will feature vignette-themed releases.
“I have a lot of offers for distribution on the table, so it’s just picking the right one. I want to do more porn that I would like to see, more fetishy, just for my viewing pleasure,” Thorn said. “I’ll shoot other people doing anal, because I can’t do it, just a lot of fun stuff.
“The cast for my first movie has a bunch of A-list girls. We have a cast of girls we definitely wanted.”
Thorn said that Katsumi, Melissa Lauren, Katja Kassin and her roommate, Texas newcomer Alexa Lynn, had already committed to the project.
“We still haven’t really thought of the name, but we know we’re definitely shooting in LA, and the second one we want to go to Miami,” Thorn added.
She said her company would focus on vignettes rather than features because “I don’t feel like being on set for 12 hours. We don’t want to do a bunch of dialogue.”
Thorn said that Robert “Payaso” Mora is the CEO for her company, and he will also be directing the videos.
“I’ll still be busy fucking,” she said, adding, “I still love cock…I didn’t turn lesbian.”
Mora also works closely with Teravision and said he would continue his role as assistant to the president and talent manager there in addition to the new venture.
“I was Tera’s first employee for Teravision. I’ve been with her from Day One. Now I’m also working with Nautica and I really believe Nautica Thorn Productions will succeed. With her beautiful look and her style, and the things I’ve learned from Tera Patrick, I think this will be a success.”
Thorn met Mora on the set of Teravision’s Reign of Tera 2.
“He actually convinced me to start my company," she said. "He said, ‘you know a lot of people. You have a lot of respect in the industry. Let’s try this.’ I saw how he was with Teravision. He’s very professional.”
Meanwhile, Thorn is approaching two years as one of the hosts of “Spice Clips” every Saturday and Sunday at 6 p.m., and she also ramping up her feature dancing schedule this summer.
This weekend she will attend Exxxotica Miami, where she will sign for Teravision, and then head to New York for Exotic Erotic Ball and Erotica LA June 23-25 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, where she’ll also represent Patrick’s company.
“I’ve been going on the road more,” Thorn said while driving through a McDonalds with Lynn Thursday. “I’m trying to concentrate more on doing some mainstream stuff. I have a couple auditions, and there are a couple ideas I have for a reality show.”
She added, “I’m having a lot of sex. I try to get my daily dosage of cock.”
