NamesBeyond on Monday opened registrations in the dot-mobi mobile Top-Level Domain space to trademark holders and mobile industry association members. The dot-mobi domain extension is reserved for websites specifically designed to work with mobile handsets.
“Registrations are now open for Phase 1 of the dot-mobi sunrise [early registration period], with exclusive registrations to members of mobile industry trade associations GSMA, CTIA, MMA, CWTA, and MEF,” says Uma Murali, president and chief executive officer of NamesBeyond. “Registrations are also open to any trademark holder or applicant for Phase 2 of the dot-mobi sunrise, which commences on June 12.”
