'Naked News Anchor' Reaches Partial Settlement Over Wet T-shirt Contest Video

Catherine Bosley’s suit against DreamGirls over the release of WildWetT.com Featuring The Naked News Anchor has resulted in a partial settlement according to a story on NewsNet5.com, a Website associated with a television news station in Cleveland, Ohio.

NewsNet5.com says that Bosley settled with two adult companies for an undisclosed amount of money, though it is not yet clear whether or not DreamGirls will continue to sell the video in question.

DreamGirls, located on the East Coast, had already closed for the day when AVN.com attempted to reach them.

The same source reports that Wetwildt.com, a Website believed to be owned by DreamGirls, attempted to have a restraining order on the tape removed. The judge hearing the case denied that request, extending the restraining order until late April, when a hearing on the matter is set.

Bosley, of course, was the “naked news anchor” referred to in the title, a nickname assigned to her after nude photographs of her participating in a wet T-shirt contest surfaced. Bosley, 37, had won the wet T-shirt contest during a vacation to Key West.

The T-shirt contest was being emceed by Hayden, DreamGirls’ sales manager, who says that Bosley signed a release and pointed out that there notices stating that the event was being taped.

“She entered this contest and proceeded to get completely naked,” Hayden told AVN.com in a previous interview. “She made it through all three rounds and she won. The 37-year-old news anchor beat out the spring breakers.”

When news of her indiscretion broke, Bosley, resigned from her position as a television news anchor at WKBN in Youngstown, where she had worked for the last ten years.

She then went on a media tour, appearing on Good Morning America, The View and The O'Reilly Factor, denying that she knew she was being taped.

The footage of Bosley stripping was originally included in a DreamGirls release titled Spring Break 2003, that is no longer available.

WildWetT.com Featuring The Naked News Anchor was scheduled for release on March 8, but Bosley won a restraining order in February blocking the release.
