In a move to separate them from their competition, online adult DVD rental service Movixo.com has instituted a new shipping policy – shipping customers a new DVD before they receive the previous rental back.
The Netflix-like service will use the policy to speed up shipping times from their Florida warehouse. Consumers can tell the Movixo web site when they have returned a movie and the company will send the next movie in the user’s queue within 24 hours.
“Our clients have always wished to have something like this and now we’ve made it a reality,” Movixo CEO Eli Taieb told AVNOnline.com. “Secondly, this puts us a step above everyone else because no one else has this feature. Everyone will copy it, but to be the first is always the best thing.”
While this is a calculated risk on Movixo’s part, allowing users to say they’re returning a movie without any proof, the company isn’t worried.
“We work around that because we build everything for the good guys, not the bad guys. That’s kind of how it is in every business,” Taieb said.
“If we were based on trying to stop all the scam artists, we might as well not even be in business.”
If a customer tells Movixo they’ve returned a movie and it never arrives, if they try to repeat the process, the company won’t send the next rental until they receive the previous one.
Movixo members can rent as many movies as they want, three at a time, for $19.95 a month. The company holds 15,000 adult movies in 46 categories.
