Pictures and videos from MoMoMate.com, a Web site featuring and founded by a group of "real U.K. girls," may soon be taking over England’s mobile phone screens.
The premium SMS service shoots content to Java-enabled mobile phones and is the first service of its kind in the United Kingdom, according to its owners.
“We got started with this as we were studying and talking about how much people were using the phones and how they seem to use their phones for everything,” said Sarah Svensson, a model on and co-founder of MoMoMate.com. “Everyone has a phone. Rich or poor, no one seems to be without a mobile phone these days in the U.K.”
The site is run by five women aged 19 to 23, who are new to the Adult realm. A couple of them started tossing around the idea for the service when they met in college. Now, they each have their own galleries that can be beamed to a mobile phone when a user sends an SMS to a short code number with the name of the girl and gallery they want to see. Users receive a small file containing five images that are stored on their phone.
Each gallery is available for £1.50 and new ones should be added monthly. However, doing all of the work for the service, being an owner, producer, and star, is a lot of hard work.
“The short term really is to make sure this launch works well, people are happy and the site stays up, also we need to plan next months shoot,” Sarah Svensson said. “We want to do a shoot a month. New pictures with all the girls every 4 weeks might be a bit of a push but we’ll see.”
Once suitable partners are located, Svensson said, content should be available in Europe and the United States as well.
