Dancers and models can display their Xtreme credentials on January 22, 2005 at a venue deep in the Carolinas, with contracts and cash the potential reward.
Sean Styles’ Xis Entertainment – the force behind the “DaDirtyGirls” web site and a South Carolina-based event planner – will conduct its first ever Miss Xtreme North America talent search out of the BADA BING club in Charlotte. Open to those 21 and older, the first stage of enrollment involves a three to five minute dance routine and a topless photo, with an entry fee via money order of $25. After November 1 the finalists for the competition will be selected.
The contest may make a star of its winner, but it’s definitely a big deal for Xis Entertainment. Xis started in June 2003 after owner Sean Styles saw Adam “Seymour Butts” Glasser on Showtime Network’s “Family Business.” He told AVN.com of his biggest promotion to date, “It feels wonderful, but I’m also nervous.” Styles believes Miss Xtreme North America is crucial to his company going national, but it is also vital for the region’s entire adult entertainment business. “It could be a huge event for other companies in North and South Carolina. Carolina is not really ‘pornville’ versus Los Angeles, New York and Atlanta. But the market is there. Particularly in Charlotte you have some of the best entertainers, and the best entertainment. You have the Bobcats, the Panthers; it’s a Nascar town. People should want to come here.”
In late July, Xis began the process of reaching out to dancers through clubs across the nation and the nationally distributed magazines “V2” and “Exotic Dancer.” The winner will receive $5000, a management contract with Xis, a booking contract with Legacy Entertainment, and the title. Further, the agency is seeking company sponsorships at the $50,000, $5000, and $1000 levels.
