MILFY: Kayden Kross and Maitland Ward on the Newest Vixen Banner

A self-described “leader in luxury adult entertainment,” the company has given birth to a variety of critically-acclaimed adult banners, such as Blacked, Blacked Raw, Tushy, Deeper and Slayed. But, the creativity of the VMG team and the future of groundbreaking adult movies don’t stop there.

Vixen announced last month the launch of MILFY, a brand new imprint and paysite reflecting the creative vision of Kayden Kross. Hailed as one of the most influential creative visionaries in adult entertainment, Kross brings forward a brand that builds on celebrating successful, strong and confident women who are entering or right in the midst of their sexual peaks. AVN spoke with Kross to discuss the vision and creative inspiration behind the new venture.

“The feeling of maturity of any age is what I prefer in a performer,” Kross explained. “The name, MILFY ... it was kind of an accident. We’re talking about what makes a woman a MILF, and what makes a woman ‘MILFy,’ you know?” 

Kross, who also serves as the creative force behind the Deeper imprint for Vixen, has won AVN Director of the Year three times for her efforts with the company. She aims with MILFY to further extend the luxury aesthetics Vixen is known for through the sexual experiences of successful, fully-realized women.

“Women who have been around a little longer and have a little more experience tend to, as a group, have a larger degree of being very elegant- and sophisticated-feeling,” she elaborated. “The kind of indicator that comes with for me is, first, confidence. The woman’s body, she doesn’t feel self-conscious or that she’s worried about what other people are seeing.

“It doesn’t feel like she’s cowering down,” Kross contextualized. “She feels there's a dominance in her posture. Not a neglectfulness or even an assertiveness, but a very clear understanding that she belongs there. There’s a smoothness in her movements. To me, that’s kinetic intelligence.”

The theory of kinetic intelligence, also known as kinesthetic intelligence, is a crucial element in physical behavior, including in acting and other forms of artistic performance and expression. An individual with kinesthetic intelligence can use their body precisely to exhibit a particular level of proficiency in a physical task, such as sex and acting. Pairing the fact Kross is emphasizing a well-documented body of evidence identifying the sexual prime for women in her new project, and that she prefers performers with this intelligence, it’s not surprising the focus is on pleasure.

Kross explained that a lot of her success prior to MILFY came from her years as a performer but, more or less, a refinement of her directorial style reflected in features she produced for Deeper. 

Former mainstream actor-turned-adult-superstar Maitland Ward, also a mutiple AVN Award winner, is a perfect example of this grace and elegance that Kross presents in the first few scenes released by MILFY. The VMG contract star headlines what could be categorized as a “tone-setting” scene for Kross with leading man Chris Diamond in a style that combines film director Gary Ross’ Pleasantville and singer Fergie’s iconic “MILF Money” music video. Ward explained to AVN that her role in MILFY was a natural progression of her Boy Meets World character, Rachel McGuire.

“Kayden and I definitely play with what’s fun to see,” Ward said, discussing the manifestation of her character in MILFY and how her natural personality impacted the appeal of the scene she stars in with Diamond. “And, I think people see me in a new light, which is funny because it feels like the old way that I used to play sitcom stuff and be that lighter, cheeky character.” She then declared, laughing: “I definitely feel this would be Rachel McGuire grown up.”

Promotional material featuring Ward presents her in a form-fitting yellow dress serving milk and cookies. She joked that the intention was “MILF and cookies” and was a clear representation of the marketing shoots she and her fellow MILFY stars participated in right before the site launch.

Ward has received much critical acclaim for her powerful portrayals of sexual beings on screen for much of her career, including in adult entertainment. With her work in the sitcom world and the daytime soap opera game through her role as a budding Jessica Forrester on CBS hit The Bold and the Beautiful, her range is clearly on display. But, a more authentic representation of Ward is what makes her presence in scenes for Deeper and MILFY so alluring and award-winning. 

“I love that they’re putting in so much time, effort, money and the PR push,” she said of the marketing machine behind the new brand. “It’s very much a special site for us and it’s going to be very special for women in the future.” 

Building on that sentiment, Kross said she wants to continue to break through barriers in a wider effort to continue revolutionizing the way we all see adult cinema.

The MILFY brand “is about this woman who has accrued the kind of worldly experience, the experience with her, which is completely different from the experience with an inexperienced, unconfident, cowering young woman,” she explained, adding that this is a “very, very sexy” aesthetic. 

In addition to Ward's site-launching scene, MILFY's output thus far features top talent including Alexis Malone, September Reign, Kianna Dior, Holly Hotwife, Cory Chase, Lauren Phillips, Penny Barber, Barbie Feels, Natasha Nice, Charli Phoenix, Brittany Andrews, Amber Moore, Reagan Foxx, Savannah Bond and Lexi Luna.
