Mika Tan and her husband Alec Knight have formed their own production company aimed at the Asian gonzo market.
“We didn’t quite see porn going the way we wanted it to go so we decided to start our own company,” said Tan, who stars in Hustler Video’s Shut Up and Fuck My A-Hole, issued today and Tightfit Productions’ recently released Asian Mayhem.
“Porn has escalated into something really crazy, with hitting in the face and people spitting at each other and I mean I think it’s hot when a performer spits in the mouth of the other performer, but when its just spitting at them and slapping, it's something else.”
The new company, GenerAsianxxx Productions, will feature Asian-themed titles with Tan as performer and director.
The company’s first title will be Mika Tan’s Asian Stud Search, shot earlier this year by Tan and Knight, with Tan, Nyomi Marcella and Sophia taking on a number of amateur Asian guys who responded to a casting call for the shoot.
“There’s a real shortage of Asian guys in porn, so I decided to get the word out that we were looking for guys in our movie,” Tan said.
Once the guys were selected, they were tested for diseases and were soon ready to go for the shoot.
“It was really hot to watch these guys fuck these hot-looking porn girls,” Tan said.
“They were a little nervous at first, so we had to do a lot of waiting, but when they got started, we got some really great scenes.”
Although the video has been completed, Tan said she is still seeking a distribution deal for it and her upcoming videos, such as an S&M title and an Asian and Black interracial title.
Knight said the company will eventually produce one title per month and include lines such as Asian girls, teens and POV.
“She’ll be doing a lot of that fetish stuff too since she’s a big fan of girls dominating guys, but we're looking at a lot of different things right now,” he said.
Already, the couple plans to use a home they recently acquired as a production location, to go with production equipment they purchased.
“Having a shoot house is going to save us money, since we’re going to be shooting constantly for DVD and for our Web site,” Knight said.
Tan joined the industry about eight years ago, beginning with fetish videos for Web sites and then moving on to hardcore girl-girl videos.
“At first it was a little hard for me to do porn because I was really sexually shy. I only had eight partners before porn,” she said.
“I did girl-girl scenes for four years before I got tired of it and took a break then I started doing guys and I loved it. I worked my way into doing anal and I’ve really gotten off on doing that.”
