LOS ANGELES—The cam model known as MissAustralia says diving with sharks became something she will never forget, calling them “very curious, very placid and beautiful.”
“I’m sure they were fed right before they threw me into the ocean with them, too, so that helps!” MissAustralia, aka VitaminMia, says with a laugh.
She tells AVN that seeing 8-to-9-foot, grey nurse sharks up close was “surreal.”
“Honestly speaking, they were magnetically grotesque,” Mia continues. “My experience diving with sharks was incredible but also terrifying, not because of the sharks! I had never been scuba diving before so it took me a few attempts to mentally get used to essentially breathing under water.
“I was also wearing two wetsuits as the Pacific Ocean was particularly freezing at that time, so I was shivering the entire time and trying to calm my breathing. The sharks were the most calming part of the experience.”
Nowadays Mia sticks to snorkeling but wants to go scuba diving again “with more sharks or whatever sea creatures I can get close to.”
Never one to shy away from a challenge and always up for an adventure, Mia spent almost eight years in the military prior to beginning her streaming journey on MyFreeCams.
"My time in the military was amazing and I will forever hold it close to my heart,” she adds.

CS: What’s the most popular item on your tip menu?
MA: The most popular item on my tip menu has to be balloon dog! Actually not quite, it’s definitely between flash and buying me a tea!
How do you use MFC Share? Which clips have been your most popular and why?
I use MFC Share as a clip store mainly; all of my content is on there. I also love the club features and gifting content as prizes for raffles & competitions. The club features are quite fun, having little emojis for members when they join a club gives it a really personal feel and making members feel included and to be part of something together.
How did you come up with your memorable stage name?
I kind of just winged it. On MFC I wanted to separate myself and stand out as an Australian. There aren’t many Aussie cam girls on MFC and I needed something in my name to make it obvious. It’s actually funny, I had MissAustralia spelled wrong for a few months (I was using a capital I instead of the L) because the name was taken from a model who had been inactive for over seven years. [The late MFC founder] Leo actually popped into my chatroom one day and told me he made it available for me! So I’ve kept the username MissAustralia since then & I won’t be changing it. VitaminMia was just a silly name I came up with one day and it kind of stuck, so that’s the name all my social media is under.
What advice would you give a new cam model trying to establish herself?
Just be yourself. It’s exhausting trying to keep up a persona that isn’t really you. We all put a hat on when we go to work but don’t stretch yourself too far from your true self. Focusing on consistency is a huge attribute to any successful streamer, showing up consistently is how you build trust, respect & friendships within your member community.
Never take anything personally. If you do, you will burn out very quickly. Do as much research as possible and be prepared, know your boundaries, know your crowd and know yourself.
Do you own magpies? If so, how many and what are their names? And how would you describe what it’s like?
Haha no I don’t own magpies, that’s illegal!! (Unless you have a permit) I bought a house to renovate & flip and while I was doing that for two years in the middle of nowhere, my maggies (magpies) cured any loneliness that would try to creep in. One day a huge bouncer-looking male magpie showed up at my window. He let me hand feed him!! And a week later he showed up with his wife and she was even more comfortable with me. I took the fly screen off my kitchen window so we had this morning routine of them warbling at my window and I’d feed them live insects and lean meat (yes I would buy them gourmet worms, crickets & meat from the pet store). AND THEN, spring hit and they introduced me to their three beautiful babies!!! There were five in total; my little babies I miss them dearly. I had a custom print made of them when I sold my house so now I can still talk to them on my wall haha.
What is your most underrated attribute?
I had to ask my online community legends this question… I feel like they know me more than I know myself most of the time!!
“I think your most underrated attribute is your emotional intelligence and ability to read people. A lot of people probably see the playful side first, but you’re very aware of the energy in the room and how people are feeling. You have a way of making people feel comfortable, included, and accepted without things feeling forced or fake.
“You’re also much deeper and more thoughtful than I think most people initially realize. The more you get to know you, the more you notice how intentional you are with the way you interact with people and the environment you’ve created.” —MFC member
Name two or three of your best strengths. What are you truly great at?
I found these questions a little hard to answer myself, so I asked a few of my online community members who have known me five-plus years each.
