NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Metro Distributors has announced that it will be turning its DVD distribution business over to Pulse Distribution.
Building off the recent success of their new, award-winning lines such as Deviant Hardcore, She Will Cheat and Family Hookups, Metro has chosen to shift its focus toward production, licensing and internet revenue streams, and has entered into an agreement with Pulse to manage all DVD distribution needs going forward, on an exclusive, global basis.
Pulse is one of the largest and best-known adult DVD distribution businesses in the world.
“We are very happy to have negotiated a deal with Metro; their legacy lines such as Cal-Vista, VideoTeam, Babes Illustrated and Fusxion helped pioneer this industry, and demand for their content remains strong today because of their newer lines. We have always had a great relationship with Metro and this will be a good opportunity for both companies,” said Jim Kohls, founder of Pulse.
The partnership will allow Metro to allocate more time and resources toward content creation, broadcast/licensing and internet sales opportunities.
“The reality is that DVD continues to account for approximately 15% of revenue in the adult retail space. Good content still sells, and we have faith that we are putting our product in the hands of the best representation possible,” said Meg Leung, Director of Supply Chain for Metro.
During a brief transitionary period, Metro will be suspending releases, with a plan to resume DVD shipments through Pulse beginning on April 10. The first two releases through Pulse will be Cougars Revenge (She Will Cheat) and Daddy Touched Me (Family Hookups).
With one of the largest libraries of original adult movies worldwide, Metro Distributors and its affiliated companies have historically produced and distributed content for all platforms, including internet, DVD, video-on-demand and broadcast. Metro also distributes sexual wellness products and enhancements. For Metro product sales, contact Meg Leung at 888-464-4856 or [email protected].
