Lexington Steele wants to make something clear; he's back, but he never really went away. He's been building up his own company, Mercenary Pictures, preparing for the move to self-distribution.
Mercenary's third self-distributed title hit the shelves of stores across the country today, and appropriately enough it was the third installment of his XXX series, Mercenary's flagship series.
”I’ve always had series that are based primarily on me and what I do to the talent,” Steele told AVN.com “XXX is to Mercenary Pictures what Heavy Metal was for Rosebud, what Balls Deep was for Anabolic. It’s the series built around me.”

“This is the series closest to my heart. I go all out for it, from the location to the talent I book, this is the series that offers the highest quality across every point of interest,” Steele said. “This is my Rolls Royce.”
The first two titles released and self-distributed by Mercenary Pictures were ManHammer and Black Reign, both of which have already exceeded the sales mark that Steele had set, though they have only been on the market for less than a month.
“ManHammer is my new all-anal title with multiples and d.p.’s, primarily shot in Prague and Budapest. That’s my Hummer,” Steele said, continuing the car analogy. “Black Reign, our new series from Domina X is the best series on the market featuring primarily women of color. I put that up there with XXX, it’s another Rolls Royce."
Other series that will be coming from Mercenary include SuperWhores, which Steele describes as a combination of XXX and ManHammer, or continuing the car analogy further, “my BMW.”
Mercenary will be releasing two titles a month. “We’re definitely up and running and I’m having more fun now than I ever have, including all the sex,” Steele said. And he feels that it’s showing in his work. “I honestly don't think anyone can touch what we're doing in the way of gonzo right now. No one's making the kind of movies we're making this well."
Steele said that XXX: Volume 3 contains the most graphic scene he’s ever performed in.
“It’s hot. There’s a scene in there that is probably the most graphic I’ve ever done,” Steele said, pointing to a scene with Lola. "I asked her to speak Spanish to me during the scene. But what really got me going was her saying stuff like, 'Aye, poppie!' and 'Tora, tora, tora!'"
The rest of the cast for XXX: Volume 3 includes Katsumi, Tera Joy, Roxy Gisselle, Shawnee, Jorg J., Mickey G. Brian Pumper, and Zena Raggi.
