Although Latin performer Mercedes Ashley all but disappeared from the Adult scene last year, fan support has brought her back in 2005 and she’s started the year by re-launching MercedesAshley.com.
Ashley took most of 2004 off, taking a break from the industry while fighting custody battles and child support issues. Now, she’s ready for her return.
“I will be diving back into the industry to take the last few years of my career out with a bang by doing more feature films with larger companies, increasing the number of sex scenes and making them 100 percent more intense – nasty, nasty, nasty,” Ashley told AVNOnline.com.
The resurrection of Mercedes Ashley can be traced largely to the bulk of fan mail she received while on hiatus.
“I did not know that, as I hid at home like a hermit, I was still being asked to produce movies and my fan base was growing,” Ashley said. “So I just figured, why should I walk away? I should pound the pavement while I’m still wanted.”
She began pounding the pavement by redesigning her web site and addressing some of the problems that plagued it in the past. The site previously had four entrances, one each for free content, pay content, pay-per-view (PPV) and Video-on-Demand (VoD). Now, the home page is streamlined with one main entrance.
Once inside, surfers will find free content, tours of the member’s area, VoD, PPV, Ashley’s casting agency, merchandise and cam shows, among other things.
However, the biggest draw is probably the Fan Fuck Off – a contest Ashley runs giving fans the chance to be in a scene with her – something she has also reinvented for the new year.
“My Fan Fuck Off brings a lot of visitors and I’ve reinvented that also. I will do more with multiple partners this year and allow girls to participate in the games to make the Fan Fuck Off much more interesting,” she said.
