After falling victim to a hacker early last week, herbal affiliate program MensNiche.com is back to functioning securely and ready to pay affiliates for their downtime.
The company experienced 102 hours of server downtime as a result of the hacker’s efforts and is compensating all affiliates by paying them for 120 hours of promotion, based on each affiliate’s average sales over the past month.
“We know that our affiliates are the most important part of our business and we will stop at nothing to keep them successful and happy,” says Andrew Slack, vice president of operations.
While admitting that the process was a struggle, Slack said the company is stronger because of it.
“We are a lot stronger,” he tells AVNOnline.com. “We have hired an external company who we now filter our traffic through—they have big clients like eBay and Google. We are also working with our host to add more servers to our cluster and we are looking at getting a second host and setting up a DNS round robin.”
