Matt Cole Launches Affiliate Program

Gay porn star Matt Cole has launched an affiliate program, aptly dubbed MattCash, for his vanity site, MattColeXXX.

Utilizing CCBill as its payment processor, the MattCash program offers 50-percent revshare on all non-trial memberships and frequently updated banners.

A relative newcomer to the gay porn industry, Cole, who has appeared in such recent releases as Titan’s Arcade on Route 9, Studio 2000’s Ari’s Place, Raging Stallion’s Bedroom Eyes, and Hot House Entertainment’s Blue, said he decided to introduce an affiliate program to his site as a way to drive more traffic to it and get his banners listed on some industry blogs and reporting sites. “Finally,” he said, “in generating all that traffic, we wanted to give something to those who sent future members to the site. It really was an easy decision to add that program to the site.

“Many other stars are affiliated with megasites such as Badpuppy or [with the site of the company with whom they are signed],” he went on to say. “We have to generate traffic in just the same way that other companies generate traffic. CCBill provides this as part of the payment processing system, and we felt it was important to use it.”

Although he is aware that affiliate programs among gay porn star vanity sites are rare, Cole said he did not think of the MattCash program as a “forward-thinking” move.

“Why would you not want to generate more traffic to our site if you have the ability to do it and [motivate] that traffic?” he quipped.

Cole said that, currently, he does not have plans to add any other sites to the MattCash program, although he was quick to add that he is not opposed to it. “It is hard to say where we will be in six months. If there are other options that are presented to us, we may be open to additions of other sites.”

For now, Cole told AVNOnline.com he just wants to “generate traffic, as well as awareness of the website. It’s important when playing the website game that you generate traffic and revenue, and the only way that happens is with the help of others who are willing to post your banners on their sites. We do our own advertising and have been fortunate to have several friends within the industry who have supported this site in posting non-affiliate-based banners.”
