Adult content company Matrix Content Inc. this week announced that the company has completed its 2257 system upgrade. Recently passed legislation of measures 2257 and HR4472 have forced online adult companies to make changes to their recordkeeping practices.
Matrix Content Vice President Rashaan Hayes says the company had been preparing for the changes as soon as it heard about them.
“I put in a call to Greg Piccionelli [online adult entertainment attorney] after seeing the signing of the bill on CNN,” says Hayes. “Upgrading our system was tedious on all levels—from administrators to programmers, everyone was busy, and we put a lot on hold to upgrade the system. Now, it’s done. We can concentrate on making great content.” Hayes adds that he encouraged other online adult companies to “cover their ass right away.”
Previously, when a set or video was purchased, webmasters could download redacted IDs of corresponding performer(s); however, since the enactment of HR4472, the redacted IDs no longer meet the required standards.
Now, those purchasing content can view or download all required 2257 documents corresponding with purchased sets or video, in compliance with the new federal measure.
