She didn’t understand a lick of what was being said to her, but that didn’t stop Mary Carey from taping three episodes of the Spanish-language Jose Luis Sin Centura show.
Described as the “Latin Jerry Springer,” Jose Luis appears on cable channel 62 in Los Angeles, and the first of the three shows featuring Carey is scheduled to air Sunday night at 6 p.m.
“As Ashley Blue would say, it was very white trash,” Carey told AVN.com. “It was one of the most fun things I’ve ever done, and the easiest money I’ve ever made.”
Carey’s antics on the show consist mainly of her dancing and removing her top, to the great approval of the studio audience.
“The Spanish people were like, ‘Mucha ropa! Mucha ropa!’ — which means you have too much clothes on,” she said. “It was funny.”
Next week is sweeps week, a major factor in the decision to have Carey on the show.
“I guess they think I’m good for ratings,” Carey gushed. “It was great to reach the Spanish market. I don’t think I normally target the Spanish market, especially since Kick Ass [Pictures, the company with which she’s contracted] likes ethnic people, such as, like, Chica Boom. I can’t be in Chica Boom, because I’m not. It brought out the Latina in me, you know?”
