It took two weeks to create the set of Mystified, but director Marty Zion felt his efforts were worthwhile. The overall effect of the set design is meant to create something that is “very sensual, yet very erotic and primal.”

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything shot quite like this, and that was my goal, and what Mystified was supposed to be. Just a complete fantasy that would be something like what you’d find on Middle Earth,” Zion told AVN.com. “The set was almost an ecosystem unto itself. It just kept coming to life.”
“We even brought crickets in and man, they must have loved the place because when we took everything else they decided to stay,” Zion added.
Preferring to use little if any dialogue, Zion establishes the concept of his videos with the set design, lighting, and music. The character’s motivations are evident by their wardrobe, placement and actions.
Zion, who has background in theatrical set design as well as mainstream directing credits, created a minimalist, yet lush forest, relying on lights, shades, curtains, and of course some flora to create the impression of the enchanted forest that Mystified is set in. The videos concept is simple: five men lost in a magical forest with the horny “angels” that live there.
Each of the scenes takes place in a different area of the “forest”, providing a variety of backdrops for the sex.
Zion’s favorite scene was with Anthony Hardwood and Mari Possa. Hardwood, as an explorer, comes across Possa standing on an alter, and starts a sex scene he apparently didn’t want to stop. “He was so into it, that we couldn’t stop him from doing her. He was ‘Oh, a little more, a little more. Keep rolling, keep rolling,’” Zion said.
The video opens with an anal scene between Talon and Bobbi Eden in the enchanted forest, Taylor Rain has an anal scene with Cheyne Collins in a treetop, Dick Delaware and Bella Marie have a boy/girl scene amidst a garden there is another anal scene with Venus and Steven French in what is supposed to be an ice cave.
The one girl/girl scene, with Charisma Cole and Breanne takes place in a den, with roses petals on top of a huge white bed.
“They did an incredible job with the editing and with the music. It really all comes together in a way that let’s the viewer transpose himself into the fantasy,” Zion said.
